Page Park was donated to the people of Staple Hill by Arthur William Page in 1910 and is known to this day as the green heart of the suburb. The big symbol of the park is a Clock Tower situated in the centre which was renovated in 2016.

In 2018 a 3D Scan of the building was undertaken by AG Surveys. For the purpose of this survey we used our Leica C10 Laser Scanner. The Scan was completed with five station setups using three GZT21 black and white scanning targets for control.

Processing of the raw data was carried out using Leica Cyclone – specialised software for registering and adjusting different scan stations into one point cloud. The processing stages include a wide range of routines we go through. Common points have been chosen in addition to control targets for achieving a greater accuracy of deliverables. Our final purpose is ensuring the data is stable enough to provide a high precision point cloud delivery.

The final delivery to the client was a fully geo-referenced 3D pointcloud with a high accuracy. The purpose was to create a near 100% record of the clock tower for future use to be used as As-Built for a low cost.
